Sharing our lives, our love, and our faith.

Our Wedding

In December 1999, Jim graduated from Syracuse University with a double major in Computer Science and Math. In January he moved to Dallas to begin a new job, and I was still finishing my senior year at Grove City. It was frustrating to both of us to be so far apart and not be certain of our future. When I visited Jim on March 1, 2000 for my Spring break, Jim proposed and changed that uncertainty.

But not all of the frustration! It was extremely difficult to plan a wedding in New York with the bride in Pennsylvania and the groom in Texas! And, it was planned in five months, no less! Despite all of the difficulties, on July 28, 2000 we exchanged wedding vows at First Lutheran Church in Jamestown, and it was the most perfect, beautiful ceremony we could imagine. The frustration was gone and only peace filled the church and our hearts. Gone was the nervous bride; I was contented and completely at peace that this was the Lord's will for our lives. The Holy Spirit was undeniably present and we pray that our day was a witness to our friends and families about God's goodness and faithfulness.
